A song can make or break a scene in television.
While this statement is the cliches of all cliches, it’s also disgustingly true.
I’m always extra excited when I realize that a show I love has an equally as amazing soundtrack as it does actual characters and actors. There are plenty of great oh this sounds nice moments in almost any show on air, but to be able to actually rely week to week on incredible stories and songs? Well then you’ve just found a unicorn in a land of bronies and you should hold onto that unicorn. Maybe even ask it to introduce you to its friends.
So when I fell headfirst into Sons of Anarchy you can damn well bet I was elated to realize that I also fell headfirst into its amazing soundtrack. The songs of anarchy, if you will.
Anyway, without further ado, here are my top 5 musical moments of Sons of Anarchy. Not only are these songs each now a staple in my cousins Spotify, (because why would I get my own?) they are also the perfect companion to the emotional complexities of the scenes that they played in.
