Homeland finally comes back home in its Season 6 premiere episode, “Fair Game” on Showtime.
While last season sure had its shakeups and suspenseful overtones, the team is all largely back at it again–this time back on the homeland.
As the CIA and the newly elected President of the United States battle it out over power in the country, a new terror is unleashing in New York City: free speech and the internet. Although we have been promised that season six of Homeland will be more toned down overall and feature less overdramatic and theatrical terror plots, we can be sure that this season will still indeed be shocking and suspenseful but also be a more personal and character driven story. When we start the season, we find Carrie (Claire Danes) and her daughter, Franny, living in New York City working as an advocate for Muslim Americans–caught in a battle with The Justice Department, who are hell bent on being pre-emptive to any homegrown terrorists.
The season’s first episode, “Fair Game” features Dominic Fumusa, Sebastian Koch returning as Otto During, Patrick Sabongui as Reda Kazem and J. Mallory McCree as Sekou Bah.
“Fair Game” premieres on Showtime January 15, 2017 at 9pm EST.
